Depot Repair ServicesOur depot facility in Peoria, provides a down-to-the-component-level repair laboratory. Services range from emergency 4 hour response, 24-hour repair to standard 2-3 day turnaround. This service includes system integration, customized hardware, engineering services, refurbishment, and hardware evaluation. Services are either on a flat rate or on a Time & Materials basis.Carry-in ServiceThe UMT depot facility is located at 1014 W Pioneer Parkway in Peoria, conveniently located by Route 40 and Expressway 6.Our service hours are as follows: . Monday 9:30a.m. - 5:30p.m. . Tuesday 9:30a.m. - 5:30p.m. . Wednesday 9:30a.m. - 5:30p.m. . Thursday 9:30a.m. - 5:30p.m. . Friday 9:30a.m. - 5:30p.m. . Saturdays by appointment only Estimates are available, with a $35 bench fee charged for refused repairs. All repairs will be COD unless previous terms have been established with UMT. Ship-in ServiceUMT requires the customer to obtain a Return Authorization (RA) number before any equipment is shipped in for repair. To be issued a RA #, please complete the following:1. Contact a Service Representative between 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST. 2. Provide shipping and billing addresses, as well as your purchase order or credit card number. 3. Describe the problem in detail, including the description of quantities, models, and serial numbers of items to be repaired or replaced. 4. Specify any special service instructions. (Standard Service is 2-3 days turnaround; Emergency Service is 4 hour response, 24-hour turnaround). 5. Specify any special shipping instructions. (UMT prefers to ship UPS ground, but will honor the customer's specifications). 6. The Service Representative will issue a RA #, which is to be displayed on the outside of each box shipped. Our Address is: Universal Micro Technologies 1014 W Pioneer Parkway Peoria, 61615 Phone #:309-689-8080 309-689=8084 fax email: info@umtec.com Terms & Conditions· Service ProvidedUniversal Micro Computer Service (UMT) agrees to provide electronic repair and parts replacement for terminals, keyboards, printers, and additional computer equipment (hereafter collectively referred to as "items") on the terms and conditions provided below.· Repair ChargesItems repaired will be charged either on a flat-rate basis or on a Time & Materials (T&M) basis. Flat rates may not apply if the equipment is found to be extensively damaged, in which case the customer will be notified by UMT and given a repair estimate, prior to the repair. The customer, at his option, may have the equipment repaired or returned at the applicable rate. The in-house T&M rate is $65.00 per hour plus parts. One hour minimum will be applied, with each additional hour billed at 15-minute increments.· Minimum ChargesUMT reserves the right to impose a charge of $35.00 plus shipping and handling for diagnostic analysis, or where (in UMT's opinion) the equipment is not repairable, or where the equipment has been modified to the extent that it cannot be repaired with standard test procedures.· Turnaround TimeAverage turnaround time is 2-3 working days. Emergency 4 hour response 24-hour service is available at a premium.· DeliveryAll service and equipment sold by UMT will be shipped via UPS ground unless an alternate method is specified by the customer. Delivery will be made FOB UMT's Peoria facility. The customer will be responsible for all freight charges to and from the point of shipment.· PaymentTerms are COD, except where a satisfactory open account has been established, in which case terms are net-upon-receipt of the invoice. Master Card, VISA and Discover Cards are accepted.· WarrantyUMT warrantees all repairs against defects in material and workmanship for 90 days from the original repair date. The warranty will be void if the equipment has been subjected to unusual physical or electrical stress, or has been tampered with by the customer or a third party without the prior consent of UMT. UMT will, if available, repair such items on a best-effort basis at its current T&M rates. | |
