We spend 2 to 4 hours with your IT management team answering some well designed questions to point out the strength or weaknesses of your existing infrastructure and systems. The questions, their responses and an analysis is returned to your management team for further consideration.
We conduct an initial survey and then examine your systems in detail to determine how well your systems match up to your policies. The length and cost of an audit are dependent upon the size of your operation and the number of machines and programs in your organization. A detailed report is delivered to your management at the end of the review.
We continuously monitor your system connections noting any downages or performance problems and immediately step in to correct the problem. We can also set "filters" to implement firewall features and check your servers for virus or other infections. These services are ongoing and not just a one time check of your system. This service is usually preceded by a survey or an audit.
With the consent of top management and with or without the involvement of the IT department, we can test your current security defenses to help you determine what you need to do to resist an attempted computer break-in from the outside. Details of each test are custom and approved by management prior to any actions on our part.
- HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act) has mandated a minimum level of security and privacy to protect electronic employee health information. The final deadline for compliance will be April 14, 2003. While this act was aimed primarily at the health care & insurance industries, its reach includes ALL companies, regardless of size and the "chain of trust" begins with the employee and includes the handling of payroll and HR correspondence and all the processing steps in between. We can help you determine the extent of your liability and how to come into compliance.
